Why does the age of a Pembroke Pines house vary so much?
Because the city was built in two separate waves with thirty years between them, and Interstate 75 is roughly where one stops and the other starts. The eastern city grew out of dairy farms after the Second World War, incorporating as a village in 1960 and as a city the year after. Its houses are from the 1960s and 1970s, which is the era of cast iron drain lines.
